Socialism 101-Quarter-PageHave you ever thought that maybe capitalism is a harmful mode of production? Have you ever wondered if our society could be organized in a way that was equal and fair? What about our collective? Who the heck are these Winnipeg New Socialist Group people and what on earth do they mean by “socialism from below?”

Well, if any or all of these questions have crossed your mind, why don’t you come down to our “Socialism 101” event at 1:30 on Oct 3rd at the U of W campus. We have prepared a 4 part presentation that will be followed by a roundtable discussion. Everyone who supports progressive social change is welcome! Feminists, anarchists, social democrats, student activists, people with nothing to do on a Saturday afternoon… Don’t think that you don’t know enough to participate- you do!

The presentation will consist of 4 parts:
Myths about Capitalism
Whats wrong with the system?
Socialism: A possible alternative
Our politics and what we do
About this event: the WNSG is a UWSA community partner. Although this event is being held on campus, its intent is to draw participants from the broader Winnipeg community, including U of W.

Childcare subsidy available with advance notice (please email us at wpg.nsg [at] gmail.com to request).
